maybe its time to start thinking about this guy starting more often.  How much longer will the team be tolerating a .230 hitting catcher

I think it's time to trade Schneider and make Flores our catcher [ducks under a table].

That's pretty cool how the Philles' announcer was saying Lannan getting thrown out was ridiculous.

Agreed, I appreciated their fair assessment.

thanks ... someone mentioned flores becoming the everyday catcher for chico .... that would get him in the order every 5 days .... i think that would work out well

I think Flores will get another couple starts over the weekend.

Carpenter said last night that Schneider would start for Lannan's debut.  But that became impossible after 14 innings, and Acta said last night it was Flores game.
THANK YOU, JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it was a line drive so it was a goner from the sound of the bat.

Does Flores ever do anything wrong? But seriously, was it only a few days ago he drove in the lead or tying run (don't remember) on an opposite field single. Then yesterday, he should have won the game with the double. Today, he once again gives the Nats the league. Remember his other HR in Pittsburgh? I believe that was a game winner too.

Most catchers aren't very good hitters.  Catcher is a position that teams don't expect to get a lot of offense from.

That's hilarious but maybe this time you should've changed the names to Flores and Philly pitching!

He also calls a good game and has a good arm to second - he's been a very, very pleasant surprise ...

I like having a 2 run cushion, especially given that Chief will have to face Howard in the 9th.

Having two catchers, one great defensively and one good w/ the stick, is a rarity. We've got something nice there. Schneiders' what, the best defensive catcher statistically this year?

I remember reading on the Mets board how they're bummed that they lost him - story is they didn't figure he'd get picked up - terrific get for the Nats ... and learning from Schneider can only help ...
