Langerhans is definitely not a starting MLB outfielder.  But I wouldn't mind having him around to use as a defensive replacement for the next few years.  His defense is second to none.

Logan as a pinch runner (stolen base, run scored) has been more productive than Langerhans (0 for 5) has been tonight.

Langerhans' absolutely spectacular play in the outfield saved us 2 runs.  Just watch Baseball Tonight/Sportscenter, it will definitely be in the top 5 plays.

he's actually second to Logan, thank you very much. You guys really love Langerhans and I am clueless as to why. Especially since most of you rip Nook ruthlessly.

whose to say Nook wouldn't have made those plays. I haven't seen them visually, but I'm sure the Nook would've got em'.

I actually like Langerhans' glove as much or more than Nook's, especially lately.

Nook wouldn't have gotten to this one.. But the point is that neither of these two are worthy of being our starting CF at the current time.  I'd say Langerhans gets the edge in defense, Nook gets the slight edge in hitting, and Nook gets the edge in running for what it's worth.  If I were Jim Bowden, I definitely wouldn't carry both of these guys on the team after this season. Only 1 of them should stay for defensive purposes.

Nook is faster than Langerhans. He can get to any ball quickers than ryan.I'm actually with air ZIMS on this one.Nook has the best rANge  on the whole team in outfield.

Carpenter just jinxed us by saying Gwynn never hit a major league HR

I hate when he does that.

Nice K Big Jon!! Outstanding inning

btw, Just because Nook is faster than Ryan doesn't mean he is a better outfielder.  Being a good outfielder is more than just about speed, it's about taking good routes to the ball and judging how far a ball is hit.

Props to JR, when he's on he's unhittable. Sometimes he has lapses, but majority of the time he is money. I'm always confident to see him on the rubber.
