Colome actually quite ill
« Topic Start: July 03, 2007, 12:12:16 AM »
Per Ladson's notes. All joking aside, the guy was very embarassed about it, and sounds like it was somewhat serious. Feel better Jesus.

Need Colome back and healthy. He was our best guy out of the pen when he went on the DL, and hopefully he gets better and back on the mound ASAP.

Colome is our setup man of the future, and is the perfect man for the job.  I don't think he'd make a good closer though, better than this year's version of Chad, but not a long-term closer fix.

Did anybody hear Jimbo yesterday being interviewed by WTOP radio?  Went kind of normal, till at the end he said "I'm praying for Jesus's buttocks, and praying for his family".  I couldn't believe it, what a clown.

Yes, that was an odd quote. He was also quoted the other day as saying it was a large buttocks problem. Could have worded that better, perhaps.

Does Colome have something they aren't making public? What's the name of that flesh eating disease? I've heard it said a hundred times, but I always go blank when I need to identify it.

Necrotizing fasciitis - thanks Scrubs!

God I hope not. Could just be staph, which is still nasty.

necrotizing fascitis comes from a particularly virulent form of staph....MSRA.

Where did anyone hear that this was necratizing fasciitis? The only reports that I have heard is that he has an abcess. Abcesses can be very serious particularly if they rupture, as I am sure you are aware. I'm just trying to understand the source of any other reports.

I think that started when I said that I hoped it wasn't Necrotizing fasciitis (I called it flesh eating disease, because I went blank on the name. So if anyone is thinking if NF, it's my fault

Considering the news of Detwiler's signing, maybe this thread should take a 'backseat' for a little while.
