Manny has gave up a long time ago.. Why in the f%#$ didn't he bring Saul/Rauch earlier in the game when the score was actually manageable?  oh well, this one was a loss before it started

It looked to me like the hit ball struck Bowie on the shoe, not the shin.
Bowie's pitch count since becoming a starter:
69, 83, 78, 92, 92, 96, 104.
Now at 78 as he's relieved.
Nationals 0
Braves 4

I have Smoltz on my Forum fantasy team, and we've hit him pretty good since last year.  His pitch count is at 69, so when he gets higher he'll be more hittable.

I meant that he often misses good pitches to hit. It was not optimistic, it was critical.

Oh, so you are commenting on the fact that he fails to square on what looks like pitches he should connect with, not that he is choosing to foul off good pitches? That makes sense. I get ya.

It's funny that Bergmann interprets the stay positive attitude after a poor outing as pity  :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah totally but that was my bad. I didn't word that correctly. I should've said that he seldom makes pitchers pay for their mistakes.

These games aren't even fun anymore.  The pitching sucks, the hitting sucks, the coaching sucks.  These series ranks among the worst of the season (including Det. series from last week).

Anyone know Ayala's best pitch?

this is an utter disaster... we are letting a bunch of chumps own us.  Why Rivera/Rauch didn't come in the game is beyond my understanding.  They haven't pitched in days.. Is Manny saving them for tomorrow's game (no game in reality) or he is planning on starting them this weekend?

It's been so long that I don't know if I recall it but I thought it was a hard slider.

what the hell is Manny thinking???  I am a huge Manny supporter but he greatly contributed to this loss.  He left Bowie in for too long and then picked the wrong reliever.  This is making me sick

How can anyone look at the collective happenings surrounding this team and still think this team isn't cursed?

Getting the 9 wins to pass the '62 Mets is going to be a struggle.

Man I had high hopes for the last 13 games before the ASG. I was hoping we could fight our way to around 8 or even 6 below .500

I know what you mean, but the Bond reference made it make a little more sense to me.

Wish the score was closer. With the rain picking up at Shea I might have been able to see bonus coverage
