Pujols' Potential?

I was just looking at this, and it may be the most amazing start to a career that I have ever seen. To someone who knows how to do this stuff - can you put up what these numbers COULD be at this pace?

Also, if someone could put his stats in this thread, that would help, too. I can't line it up.

If he continues his pace of around 42 HR a year until he's 40, he will reach 842 HR.  That average is very possible, considering he isn't yet in his "prime" years.

Wow

A-Rod is projected to hit well over 800 HR as well, and he is further along in that discussion, since he already has around 500 HR.

look at griffey's stats.  he hit 40 something HRs when he was 22 and was on pace for almost 60 when he was 23.  the numbers are pretty close

What are you talking about? Griffey only hit 27 HR as a 22 year old and had 45 in 156 games the following year.

in twenty years everyone will somewhat forget about bonds. The two great hitters of our time will be a-rod and albert

Yes he will.  If a player loves his team, the team loves the player, and the team has [enough] money, then there is relatively no chance the player leaves the team.
