Watson is starting! I personally love the immediate move by Manny!

We've got a better shot w/ Sheffield, Casey and Polanco out of the lineup. Can't wait to see Watson in the game.

BTW, everyone who said Watson was terrible in his "stints" here needs to realize he's played in a whopping total of what, 30 games or so. If we considered that enough time to really get a feel for a player, Fick (and a few others) would have been gone a while ago.

Let's all hope Watson's hot hitting continues tonight!

Wouldn't it be nice to have a guy like Thames as your 4th outfielder?

Walking him would have kept the DP on and they wouldn't have scored that run.

Edit: MASN was wrong, as usual, and had Ordonez at 2nd.

Don't ever pitch to Ordonez! If the bases are loaded, you still walk him because you only give up one run!!!

ugh, at least they only got 1 although I'm sure that is just delaying the inevitable.

That whole team can hit. That's why we don't walk him and that's why they're a great team this year (and last).

terrible swing by felipe.. 2-1 count and he tried to pull an outside fastball. He really needs to go opposite field more.

I don't like first pitch swinging but I really don't like first pitch swing in the 1st inning!  When you swing early, early in the game, you don't give the pitcher a chance to be bad.  If it means giving him a strike, you give him a strike.  If he's off, that might be the only one he throws to you.

And even good pitchers, like Bonderman, have bad games sometimes.
