I can't wait for this starting rotation (hopefully by the all-start break):
1. Hill
2. Bergmann
3. JP
4. Chico
5. Bowie

We face the Indians this weekend who have a very similar offense to the Tigers. This is going to be one tough week; after watching these two games I hope we can just win 1 game out of the 6.  I'm sure glad we don't play in the AL East or AL Central, that would be ugly having to play these teams 16 times a year.  It will be nice to get back on the road next week in Atlanta and Pittsburgh.

One on our side - the Indians are 13 over at home, and even on the road.  They've even lost road series to the O's, KC and the Reds.

I'm thinking Bowie may return to the BP and Simontacchi will remain in the rotation.

Nothing wrong with playing .500 ball on the road.  The Nats are just a bad match against these types of teams that can put up 10 runs with ease each night.  We are better suited to play low scoring games against teams like the Twins, Braves, Marlins, O's, etc.. For us to win any of the games this week we are going to need at least 8+ runs.

whaddaya know, lead-off double..  lmao. Simontacchi has soured on me to a certain extent.  He is so damn hittable at times.  I think I'd rather have Bowie or O'Connor than him in the rotation.

Jason Simontacchi

That's a good one. I would've left his ass out there to get pounded.

me too.. 10 hits 8 ER over 3 IP.  That's just unheard of.   Tigers, Over/Under 15 runs tonight?

When these last two Simontacchi runs come in, his ERA for the game will be 30.00...

I'm sure that shot of Simontacchi and JP in the dugout and the commentary by Sutton and Carpenter are melting hearts and making people feel sorry for Simontacchi.

Actually, the Marlins are #2 and the Braves #4 in scoring in the NL.  But, more to the point,Cleveland has been shutout in 2 of its 6 NL road games, and only 3 in two others.  That's 4 of 6 in which they've been very beatable.  In a 5th of the 6th, in which they scored 7, 3 were unearned as the Marlins were auditioning for the Keystone Cops.  I think we'll take 2 of 3.

I'm not one to leave games early but I'd seriously consider heading home it if I was at this one.

The All-Starter Break; after this, we will have all of our starters

I hope so but I just don't see it with Bowie, Simontacchi, and Chico on the mound.

I remember the thumping we took at the hands of the Devil Rays last year and I stayed until the 8th but I was tempted to leave earlier than that.

  I think we'll take 2 of 3.

I hope you're right.

3-run double.. All of that great play and respect we earned on the road is now washed away in a matter of 2 games.  "Look at the Nats, they were down 8 on Monday and on Tuesday they were down 12-0.. oh yeah, both games were at home."  I hope this puts to rest the debate on Speigner's worth on this team as a starter or reliever.  He is terrible on all fronts.
