Yeah, if you predict failure in baseball you're right most of the time. Slate is really outslating himself lately.

actually, what I meant is making outrageous predictions and then taking credit when they happen but stays silent when most of the crap he says doesn't even come close to happening (but your point is on the money as well)

All of the above. Patting yourself on the back is never attractive.

I expected better from Slate.

He is who we thought he was. Dude is constantly predicting failure, which is not exactly going out on a limb in baseball. Then when it happens he throws his back out patting himself on the back.

If he really wants to impress anybody (and he clearly is desperately trying to do so) then he should call a home run or a gapper like FP did in the first inning. Now that would be impressive.

This Stroman is a real ass. I've never seen him pitch before.  His me, me, me attitude is perfect for NYC. They will love him there.

Could be true. They don't have confidence in him anymore maybe.

It's easy to say that with our view. Hearing Henley might be hard and trying to find that ball was difficult. You got Stroman at 90+ pitches. You need a run.  I can understand holding up there.

Time for a Bazooki
