fangraphs has a post up with proposed trades for a few teams. For us, they proposes Crowe, Cate, and Sterling Sharp to San Diego for Kirby Yates

Lol, theres no way they let Yates go for so little.

And the Padres need a legit OFer

Why does San Diego need Sterling Sharp?  They don't have a football team, and he retired several years ago.

:)

He's actually our #8 prospect and is pitching well at Harrisburg (as a starter)

There's some talk about the Nats getting relief pitcher Shawn Greene from the Tigers.

It also seems the Mets are going to be sellers this trade season

Man, if Castellanos had been willing to move to first base, we'd be prime trade candidates for the Tigers

Michael A. Taylor is legit for San Diego.

Considering they have a cheaper, faster, better hitting, equally defensively apt version of him, no, he's not.

I doubt San Diego is taking on an outfielder of any stripe until they do something about the logjam they already have.  They don't have enough spaces now even with Cordero having missed nearly the entire season.

Shane Green and Justin Wilson would be an amazing trade deadline haul if Rizzo could make the money work out.

They have Hunter Renfroe and that's about it. Their infield is set, but they need something else out of the OF. None of the prospects mentioned project to anything other than back of the rotation or bullpen fodder.

I gotta wonder if the Nats need to find a solution at first base  as well

Yea, I dont want Matt Adams as my full time first baseman. And neither did anyone else in baseball.

Margot is a functional CF.  They also have Myers, who isn't actually good and probably should be playing first but is blocked there and is owed a lot of money; Reyes, who is decent but also should be playing first; and Naylor, who's a former first round pick and probably will hit enough but also needs to be playing first.  Cordero, when he comes back, should also be playing a corner.   As a practical matter, they have too many guys who occupy outfield positions, not too few.
