Does Trea have bunt for a hit in his repertoire?   Not something I've seen a lot from him, especially recently.  Would have been a good time to try.

I feel like that’s against some unwritten rule.

So if you’re not gonna pitch Rosenthal in the 8th with a 5-run lead against the f’ng White Sox, when are you gonna use him?  And if you’re not gonna use him, why keep him on the roster?  Ridiculous.

I’d bring in Rosenthal for the 9th.

Pitch Rosenthal in the ninth?

The only reason to pitch Rosenthal is because you think you still have a shot this season and you need to find out if hes fixed, or you're DFAing him

Na - let him pitch until the bases are loaded

With a 5 run lead it means the tying run would not come to the plate

you jest, but dave just may do that

If Rosenthal doesn't get in to this game now, they should just DFA him tonight and let him sign with the White Sox.

lol... the unwritten rule book must be pretty thick if it accounts for bunting for the cycle!

I don't get it.  Wouldn't we pitch him all the time if we've given up and are tanking?

If you're giving up, you DFA him and give his roster spot to someone you want to evaluate.
