I've never seen a team underachieve literally on a daily basis. Every day as a unit they play worse than their talent level and payroll.

Mets have as many hits and two more runs in 1 1/3 innings versus the Nats than in their last two games combined versus the Marlins.

I don’t see the point in keeping Davey around. It’s evident this team isn’t turning it around with him at the helm. Why not try somebody new? See if it injects life into the guys.

We went to see the Nats and Mets at Shea about 10 years ago this guy wearing a Mets jersey with the name of cowbell man is walking around banging on that cowbell with a drumstick. It sounds louder on TV.
