This 'team' practices on how to lose....as a group, they are scared $hitless of actually making contact with RISP....they would rather play umpire and call balls but mostly strikes, usually watching a grooved pitch whiz by untouched....then act surprised when they are rung up (and out)...I think to balance out the games, to some extent, each opposing team should allow the Nats to start each inning with the bases loaded....and these clutzes would still lose, though they might manage to eke out a run occasionally....maybe if the opposing pitcher accidentally hit a Nats batter...or if there was a balk, because putting the ball into play is an unknown skill on this team...and has been for several seasons....it's the Nats' trademark....load 'em up, leave 'em stranded....no team does it better.
