The F word is flying all over the place on the Mets refugee fan forum. Might be nothing but I hope he doesn't need another Tommy John.

Precautionary, he’s expected back on April 26 from what’s being reported.

So they push it back for a few weeks before announcing surgery?

No MRI.

Threw today. deGrom believes it is illness related as he was getting over strep and didn’t have a middle throw day between starts.

Still on I.L. until 4/26.

If we had swept the Marlins series (not too much to ask, one would have thought), we'd be in first place in the NL East this morning.

I was so looking forward to this season...sad to think that it's only 20 games in and it's over already...

Don't worry, we'll go on a run in May where we randomly win like 8 of 10 and hit first place only to go .500 the next 3 months and then 20-7 in September once we're out of it. Lot of meaningless baseball left to watch. :stir:

NYT on DeGrom and Mets starting rotation. Elbow was "barking". MRI was negative, but a "barking" elbow? Meanwhile, Mets Thor says he has to improve, after getting pulled in the 5th his last two start. Wheeler has control problems, as always.

I'm not convinced we have any better or worse chance of winning than anyone else in the division who isn't named after a fish.

I wouldn't feel any better or worse about our chances if we swapped positions in the standings with any of the other teams at this point.

It started as a 4 team dog fight to the finish, and still looks like that could be the case.

It's OK to be optimistic now, but please get out of the way around July 1, when hard choices need to be made.

Trea Turner injury has been a forgotten about dagger (except every time Difo comes to the plate).

Or Difo's utterly bad defense.

You can throw a blanket over the top four teams. A damp smelly blanket since they all have flaws.
