...and can someone please remind me why we didn't re-sign Greg Holland? The guy was lights out with us last season and looks fantastic with Arizona right now.
Because if we brought in Kimbrel it would push everyone else down and we could use Rosenthal in low pressure situations until he gets his control back.9th- Kimbrel8th- Doolittle7th- Barraclough/Miller/SippBesides, losing a lead in the 6th or 7th is a whole lot easier to recover from than losing a lead in the 8th or 9th.
We can do that now. DoolittleMillerSipp/BarracloughNot sure I want to drop 75+ million to bring in Kimbrel for that . . .
Yes, this puzzles me. It was obvious at the end of last year that he had gotten his groove back.
Kimbrel wants SO much for SO long... and he's vowed not to play this year if he doesn't get it.And he hasn't thrown in a MLB or MiLB game since the post season. And he didn't look great towards the end of last year.
So what's our options? Just continue on letting the bullpen blow every game this year? This is demoralizing for this team.
The same team that didnt do crap against Matz, despite getting runners in scoring position with no outs in two different innings?
They scored five runs. Should be enough to win.
What's Joe Ross up to? Seems like we could use him in the bullpen
