I don't know, I don't see us getting a ton of value from the two of them. But Montgomery will be back from TJ in August, Frazier takes over in CF or RF and Estrada is a good super-utility prospect. Schmidt is back from injury and close to a top 100 prospect. Would give us three immediate major-league pieces for 2020.
Anyways, just spitballing.
First off, I think Yankees prospects are generally overrated.
Second, I expect Doolittle to garner a deal similar to what Kimbrel got when he was traded to Boston. Less team control but greater demand at the deadline.
I think Frazier has a giant hole in his swing that will get exposed when he leaves Yankee Stadium. Hes a poor defender, sticking us with another poor defending LFer.
Montgomery is meh middle relief.
The other two are utility players at best.
But also, why do they want Rendon and Doolittle? They have a stud bullpen and plenty of infielders to play.
I think a better trade partner would be the Rays.
