Put MAT at short. Didn't he play there when he was young? Didn't he play there for one play last year?

Yay, waiting for another core hitter to get timing back instead of a proper rehab assignment to the local Triple A club

I'm perplexed by this Parra acquisition.  Does Rizzo still believe that this team can make a run in 2019?  Talk about delusional.  As far as I'm concerned Parra is just a fly in the ointment, given the fact that this team is at a crossroad...

...I'm convinced MAT should be playing regularly enough to maximize his market value.   If that means "resting" Eaton more, so be it.

If we're talking about maximizing market value, then Robles should be sent down. We need to maximize Eaton's trade value as well.

I think Eaton is a known commodity.  The only reason I wouldn't send Robles down is that I believe he will learn faster at the highest level (unlike Kieboom, who needs to learn at a lower level).

Let's sign him. He has good perephrials (low strikeout rate, decent walk rate, high hard contact rate on balls in play)

Yes...every team needs 5 past-their-prime first basemen that can't stay on the field...

god, no...who can be serious about even suggesting this?  sadly, as a Jays fan, I'm worried they'll sign him because they constantly do such silly things (akin to taking flyers on any AAAA player, in the hopes of catching something...anything...and it reeks of desperation).

Hes an improvement over Zimmerman and Adam's.

He's no Chris Davis though

Wow    ....   EDIT:    Nevermind, I thought (hopin') that meant released.   I'm only partially overjoyed.

This Fresno craziness needs to end.  Calling someone up is like waiting for the mail ship 250 years ago.

Adrian Sanchez is still on the 25 man, so he's the new Difo.  We're almost back to full strength, and with Parra being a massive upgrade over Zimmerman it could be argued that tonight's roster is the best will field this year (well, I'd still like to see Eaton over MAT).

Parra's clock will strike midnight at some point, but he's been pretty useful at getting us through that tough period.

Other teams come up with their Luke Voit's, Corey Kluber's, Michael Brantley's, etc. PTBNLs in trades, players who were never expected to produce at anywhere near the level they are. Where are our counterparts?
