Seems like it is a nice right of passage. Lot's of copy to fill, quick turn-arounds, etc... The burn out is undeniable, but it seems to have been a good training ground for all of these reporters.
Zuckerman has been on the beat since 2005. Plenty of beat writers have followed teams for long terms. The Post views the job as entry level.
