Wasn't there a guy on the old MLB Boards (or was it BPG?) who had a proposed cap that looked like this? IIRC, he couldn't understand why they didn't select his design and was mad about it.

Is this the cap - or am I mind-facting this?

Looks to be a variation of the W in front of the capitol logo used by Topps in 1958 for Senators cards.

If they're going to bring back the Capitol logo why not the Senators name too? The city didn't want that branding because of the whole no representation thing but it's been 13-14 years, what are they going to do about it, take the ballpark back?

they didn't own the either but managed an amicable deal with George .  If the still own the logo, the Rangers would have no use for it.  We can give them the rights to Tommy Milone if they insist on a trade.

I love the hat.  I think it'd go well with either the red or the blue unis.  I like the blues patriotic , so I'd use this hat with the reds.

I dig this look too much. I honestly would love to see that logo on red hats, and a reverse on all Navy hats. I think dropping the Curly W in favor of this is more Senator's esque, and looks more traditional. Yes, I also know the Curly W came first.

It was a guy years ago on BPG, that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the hat.  Love the jersey, the hat not so much....

I’m fairly certain he designed the “W” eagle currently used on the shoulders of the Caps sweaters and was ridiculed at the time.

Agree that the 'Nationals' script is great. Personally, I've always been rather fond of the curly W (especially the 'Stars & Stripes' version), so I hope we don't completely abandon it...

The Blue Jersey with the Stars and Stripes Curly W is the best jersey in baseball in my mind. Anyone who doesn't agree is a communist.

Speaking of "New Jerseys"... I gotta say... the new Marlins logo is slick looking.

Everything else about the team is garbage, but that crap looks good.
