http://news.sportslogos.net/2018/11/15/washington-nationals-release-new-2019-spring-uniform/(Image removed from quote.)Wasn't there a guy on the old MLB Boards (or was it BPG?) who had a proposed cap that looked like this? IIRC, he couldn't understand why they didn't select his design and was mad about it.Is this the cap - or am I mind-facting this?
Christos Jannou... I believe....
The caps feature a (naturally) red, white and blue “W” with the Statue of Freedom atop the Capitol dome poking out of a baseball.
I'll be sporting that hat in WPB in late March. Love that thing.
These should be the full time home uniforms.
If they're going to bring back the Capitol logo why not the Senators name too? The city didn't want that branding because of the whole no representation thing but it's been 13-14 years, what are they going to do about it, take the ballpark back?
They don’t own the senators name
That's it. From the article:https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2003/sep/1/20030901-124902-5191r/I just have to find a webpage with the cap pictured.
Agree that the 'Nationals' script is great. Personally, I've always been rather fond of the curly W (especially the 'Stars & Stripes' version), so I hope we don't completely abandon it...
