I dated a dancer many moons ago.  What was messed up was that she started doing that some time after we started dating

I bet some of you old timers will remember this better but I recall when I was a kid riding past 14th st (and maybe K st?) with my family and seeing lit up places like the Gold Rush, the Butterfly Club, This Is It and the Casino Royal. My mom told us they were restaurants but my older brother told me a different story.

This is It was reportedly where Marion Barry was seen by a number of people doing lines of coke at the bar.  Not sure the story was fully corroborated but it seems in character.

My first IT job was in Rosslyn, late 80's. The place was a ghost town at 6pm.

Can confirm this is still true in 2018.

CCR is supposed to have very good food.  They have good buying power with CCSP and the kitchen is sized well for the crowd. The owner still believes in pricing the food low to get folks to drink.

Maybe North Arlington will now recognize South Arlington as an equal part of the county.

I grew up in North Arlington and the snob factor re South Arlington was there to a certain degree. But it somewhat went by the wayside with the rejuvenation of Shirlington, Columbia Pike, etc. And now that South Arlington has landed the great white whale, it should be interesting to see if it goes away altogether.
