The Nola deal seems like a very good signing for the Phils. I would have thought Nola could have gotten a lot more than that.

Agree.  I would have thought they would have had to offer more.  It's almost like he might like pitching there.   :hysterical:

I think this is current.  Quite a few unsigned besides Macharper. Undoubtedly some will remain that way.
Seems bad to be a Gonzalez this year.

He’s coming back home to be with his best buddy Wentz. Everyone knows that.

Wentz is a little young for a broken back- maybe they'll let him use a walker

Harper will sign by the end of the day.     He was waitin' on the marker.

I'd probably blink too if you paid me $300 million to live in San Diego for 10 years.   freak the rest of it, man.

High taxes for home games. Should have gone to the Marlins.

White Sox fans are livid. I imagine GM Hahn and owner Reinsdorf will be burned in effigy on the south side soon for losing a bidding war to the Padres.

San Diego is like Miami without the humidity, the d-bags, and the hurricanes.  Well, it now has one huge d-bag, but that's like .0001% of the way to being Miami.

So, it's basically nothing like Miami other than being warm in the winter, on the water, and a place where decent Spanish is very helpful.
