Max is going to go for the record. You know he is. Six more to beat Pedro? He's going for it, lst game of the season.

I'd like to see him beat out Martinez' record of 305 but I get the feeling he is done for the season.

We'll see. He'll build up a head of steam for six more, I'll bet.

This to me needs to be the move. Honestly, they need to re-evaluate how they use him. I know he wants to go for  a CG,  but it clearly wears on him. Rizzo needs to work on improving the pen more.

That’s a good man. Thanks.

Most of those guys did it in the era of four man rotations and no relievers.

Most of those guys did it in the era of four man rotations and no relievers.

They also did it in an era when teams didn't put up with guys striking out 150 times.  This is the third 300-K season in the last 4 years, which says enough.

Exactly. Guys are striking out at record pace in today's game.

BiL was trying to find a reason to make the feat, an impressive one on its own merit, even more impressive. :lmao:

And Scherzer would break down by the start of August if he had to pitch in a 4 man rotation and had to pitch deeper into games.
