While we’re on the subject of quality tv, McHales Navy. John Paul Jones would be proud of that one.

Never watched McHales Navy.    One of the odd things about my youth was we spent a lot of time playin' outside.    I was a Saturday morning kid.    Lone Ranger  ...  Superman  ....  Mighty Mouse.     Not sure when Howdy Doody was on but that was on my schedule.    I always tried to watch Annette as well.

Oh yeah Davey Crockett.    I have an old Davey Crockett wallet upstairs.    My sister had a (fake) Crockett coon skin cap.

I always get a kick out of batters who scowl at the pitcher as they’re walking back to the dugout after they’ve struck out.  :hysterical:

One episode he was rehanging the fenders on his car to replace the seals because of a squeak. Who the hell does that?

Jeepers Mr Wilson, when you're done fixing the squeak in your fender could you fix my parent's bed. It squeaks so much I can't sleep..

McHale’s Navy. But only the Pacific Theater episodes. When they moved to Italy it sucked.

I figured once the school year started they would quit showing the Fun Family.  I was wrong.

Great, another blunder on the bases :smh:

I recorded a series recently called "The Pacific War in Color". 6-7 parts I think. Just watched part 1 today. A lot more detail than what I remember learning in school.

I remember the first time I saw any footage in color.    It's almost like, as a kid, we were programmed to think the war was in black and white.   Of course, pops didn't get a color TV until I was in the Army.
