Let's be honest, all we have left this season are potential no hitters and Victor Robles becoming the baseball god we all hope he is

Watching young relievers like Suero and Miller and hopefully finding reason to think our pen won't be an absolute dumpster fire after Doolittle next season, probably Robles playing, watching what other comedic collapses, Gio pitching his last game in a Nats uniform, etc. are all things we still have.

What killed me is that he suggested changing it to a hit after Scherzer lets another one through if the scorer really wants to call it a hit. It's a freaking hit or it's not. There's being a homer and then there's going spelunking in the Nats' jerk without an Ariadne's thread back.

If at all possible, yeah. Their bullpen has been bad the past two games. It's not guaranteed to work but it's better than the absolute nothing they've done so far.

So you'd rather them strikeout then ground out. Nola doesn't walk a lot of people and he doesn't work deep into counts. He throws strikes.
