Would you think it would be OK to list the names  and the charities who have placed a bet with you. No amounts please.

When the Nats make the playoffs the charity I have chosen to receive the Forum's generosity is So Others Might Eat  https://some.org/

Aspenbubba- American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/
VaRK- Best Buddies  https://www.bestbuddies.org/
Nat Nasty Juvenille Diabetes Research Foundation  https://www.jdrf.org/
Half Smokes- St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital  https://www.stjude.org/

I want to get in but I don't want to bet against the Nats. Any ideas?

Always looking for reasons to donate to charity. Great idea, btw.

Pick a charity and say you will donate if they don't make the playoffs. Then we will hold you to it. Just post it on here.

OK JCA and BiL place your bets  and the rest of you cheapskates put your money where your mouth is. I'm loving the selection of charities.

What are we talking something in the $10-$20 range?

That's great. Whatever you would like. Some people have done more.

I hadn't seen this earlier.  I've had faith all along and do moreso now.  I'll give $10 to each of the naysayers' listed charities if we fail.  They're welcome to match that donation to Bluestreak's charity when they do make it (but not a pre-req for my end).

$50 to JDRF either way, but I'm betting the Nats DO NOT make the playoffs.

I'm in.    I regularly contribute to Calvary Women's Services and Central Union Mission.    Hell, I'll even toss in E. Loudoun fire and rescue and the home town library.    If the Nats make the playoffs, I'll double my contributions.

So if the Nats make the playoffs, I'll triple it.

I have settled up with everyone and sent proof of donations via PM.

Mitlen I can't send you proof as you have PM blocked (don't know if it's me or just in general).

I hated that the Nats didn't make it, but I am happy to pay up.

And I am going to put up another plug for my charity, So Others might Eat, that does a lot to combat homelessness and hunger and domestic violence. It's a really good local charity.
