Sad times when you’re excited about Wieters return. Trade for Ramos

I really think Kieboom is turning the corner. Rather see him in there.

Murphy was out there quickly. He seems to always be ready to back up his teammates. Soto was out there too.

I know I'm off the wall here but does anyone think the Pirates felt bold because of what happened last week?

probably not but it was an odd get together, it seemed like Eaton was having a word with the umpire and then when the catcher stepped off Eaton seemed to be telling the umpire why he didn't ask the catcher to get ready to continue the game and the catcher took issue with it

Offensively, the Nats field one of the least productive lineups in the NL. The 14 run outburst notwithstanding.

I copied and nearly pasted the ESPN Preview just as the game started. ESPN switched to live scoring.

The Pirates were 1-5 and outscored 52-19 in their last two series. Their fans and social media turned against them, since they had started the season 12-6 and are now 41-48. Maybe THEY had a team meeting...

What happened?

There was a gathering at home between Eaton (at bat) and Cervelli (Pirates catcher).

Turner has developed the habit of jogging to 1b. With his speed, he should be hustling everytime.

They all jog to first when it’s routine. Let it go.

Inconsistency is infuriating. Pretty sure he gave other timeouts tonight.

My bad.     We had a "confrontation" with Michael A. Taylor in the middle of it  ....   end of a game and the reliever was talkin' trash.

Never understood that. Of all the sports, baseball is BY FAR the least taxing on your body. Run the damn 90 feet.

I'm old.   :)   It all runs together.    I remember walkin' to school five miles, each way  ...  uphill.    :old:

It’s a long season and they rarely mess up routine plays so why waste energy.
