There's really no algorithm for bringing peace to the Middle East.

Then he can solve time travel or something.

It took Werth much longer than the rest of us to realize this actually happened a couple of years ago. He probably checked his bank account and realized he had quit playing.

Yes...if only he had come to this epiphany even a year ago...

...but like mitlen...The Werthquake was easily my fondest memory of any baseball game...

Just couldn't resist sticking it to him. I mean, as opposed to his wife.
heh, I wonder why...

:lmao: because the women were sitting together at a game and were known to be friends?
There would have been a major cat fight. Women don't shrug things like that off. I've had people close to the team tell me they didn't think it was true. Everyone can believe what they want.  Maybe Jayson can do Chase's HOF induction speech to make up for it. 😏

I posted a back in March about meeting him at the Orlando airport.  I chatted with him a bit and he couldn't have been any nicer.  My kids about exploded through the phone when I texted them a selfie of the two of us.  I wish him all the best, and thanks for my second favorite baseball memory (Zimm's Father's Day walk-off against the Yankees is still my favorite).

I know people who know him and they say he couldn't be nicer. I also go to a restaurant that he used to frequent and the bartenders have nothing but good things to say about him. But he does come across as aloof during public appearances so maybe that's where his rep comes from.

J. Gilbert's?    It's close to the station at Lewinsville.

I think the Nats should hire him in some non-player capacity- it seems his leadership is missed especially by Bryce

Yeah, I don't get that either.  That was a really awesome moment.

Objectively (despite what I said earlier) game 4 was better, but I'd put Zim's walkoff in the top 5 or so.

The come-from-behind win against the Yankees on the day before that 2006 walkoff was pretty sweet too.

Did Nick Johnson get hurt that game?  Daryl Ward pinch hit for him and went 2-2 plus 2 walks, 2 RBI including a solo HR.     :whip:

I’ll never forget that homer vs Lance Lynn. What a legendary at bat.

I’d fire Davey and make Werth the manager.

Because Gio crumbles in big moments. Team handed him a 6-0 lead. He struggled to go 5 innings. Everybody blames Storen, but Gio gave the Cardinals life.

Jayson Werth giveth: His acquisition started the Nats on a winning path.

Jayson Werth taketh away: Dusty's insistence on using him in the playoffs in 2017 cost Dusty his job, leading to this season's mediocrity.

Very true.

Don't forget his bad 2011 and the Nats fans trying to drive him out of town.

Mercifully, I don't remember.
