Nats Bobbles Free to Good Homes
« Topic Start: May 22, 2018, 05:59:57 PM »
We’re downsizing drastically and have reluctantly come to the conclusion that we don’t have room for our Nats bobbles, so they’re up for adoption. First come, first choice. I know I could use Craigslist or similar to sell them, but I’d rather just give them to people who would enjoy them and WNFF seemed like a good place to start.

The catch is you have to pick your selected bobble(s) up (or send me a prepaid box). We’re in Leisure World in the Aspen Hill section of MD - basically where Georgia and Connecticut intersect.

Available for adoption (crossed out bobbles have been adopted already)

Updated 5/31 - everyone found a home!

Danny Espinosa
Screech Bobble Belly
Jayson Werth w/ Goatee Swinging a bat
Jayson Werth Game 4 Walkoff
Gio Gonzalez
Stephen Strasburg
Bryce Harper w/ detachable bat
Ryan Zimmerman
Denard Span Against Outfield Wall Catch
Frank Howard
Davey Johnson standing at rail
Ian Desmond batting
Ian Desmond throwing
Dimitri Young doing voodoo fingers
Pudge Rodriguez
Jordan Zimmerman
Taft Racing President
Coolest bobble IMHO for a history buff - from Hagerstown Suns - Woodrow Wilson throwing out first pitch from stands - even has his box seat as part of the bobble

Non-bobble memorabilia available for adoption:
Jayson Werth Chia Pet
Star Wars R2D2 beer cozy (2 available)
Nats Magic 8 ball
Bryce Harper Hagerstown Suns Garden Gnome

PM if interested in any of them.

Yep, very nice of you indeed.  I take it your moving?

Edit - I reread it and saw Leisure World. Doh!  Isn't Florida supposed to be part of the equation before Leisure World?  :mg:

We did do this kind of backwards by moving into LW first.   :D

We bought some mountaintop property in the Catoctins (near Camp David/Thurmont) and built a cabin there years ago, with the long term plan of retiring there. We got tired of the maintenance on the big house, so sold that a few years ago and rented in LW until we retired.  Now that we’re both retired, it’s time to move to the cabin. It’s a sweet little cabin, but the operative word is “little” so downsizing is definitely required.

The nice thing is that we’re still close enough to be near our friends and to take in the occasional Nats game. I’m not sure I could handle pulling up stakes and moving to FL or NC where we don’t know anyone but I know lots of people do that and love it.

Easy drive from Thurmont to Harrisburg or Hagerstown as well. I take my bike out in the Catoctins from time to time. Really pretty area!

Ah, you’re right. Wasn’t thinking of those kinds of bikes. We do get a lot of motorcycle peeps out here as well enjoying the scenery.

"Potato potato" is supposedly the sound of a make of motorcycle.    If I wasn't so hard of hearing, I could confirm or deny the assertion.    :)

Never heard it put quite that way, but now that you say it, they do kind of make that sound.

Potato potato is more subtle than, "Damn that's loud."
