I'll give them a go for at least one season (the new venue will be quite close to the Metro station) but if it's too dodgy in the neighbourhood then I'll drop them. The new venue will seat 4200 which is a lot closer to what they've latterly been drawing.
That's the way the WNBA is going these days though - the New York Liberty, for instance, is leaving Madison Square Garden in favour of some nondescript venue in Westchester. Those early dreams of 'We Got Next' and huge crowds and telly numbers have been pretty much binned - if the league is to survive henceforth it'll be as the niche league that they basically always were.
The liberty being for sale for whoever is willing to take them with no buyers is a bad sign for the league.
