Not sure where to put this post--
my sister is a social worker for Montgomery County and she is planning the annual Foster Family Appreciation Picnic, where they invite all the foster families and kids, have a nice lunch, play games, and have a good time. She is looking for donations for door prizes. If anyone has any extra tickets they would like to donate, please let me know and I'll put you in touch. She has gotten tickets directly from the Nats in previous years, and expects that the Nats will help out again this year, but she says the baseball tickets are a really popular item for the foster parents and there's never enough donated to go around. They expect about 300 foster parents and kids.
Donation is tax deductible.
Donated games should be for July-September (the picnic is in mid June) although she can do one-off treats for the foster kids with a little advance notice.
She prefers groups of 4 tickets since few foster families only have 1 kid but she will be grateful for any donations.
Other door prize type stuff would also be acceptable, as long as it's family friendly.
PM me if you have excess tickets and get that big ol tax write off!
