Gonna get me a U. S. Olympic curling hat and/or tee.
There you go. I still need to order my Eagles Super Bowl gear.

The garlic girls could not do it. Sweden wins the women's curling.

I wonder what the odds are of Germany  beating the Russkies in hockey tonight?

I'm lookin' on Amazon and the "official Olympic site".    Slim pickin's so far.    I expect capitalism to kick in soon and the options for gear will increase.

They are showing the replay again of the men's curling where the USA got the five points. Quite a shot by that Schuster fellow.

I've seen that at least twice since early this morning.    I told the missus that NBC is gonna run with this til the pony dies.

The weird thing is, that is apparently a super routine shot. It was set up by a big error by the Swedes. Not to say it wasn’t impressive. A five point end has only been topped once in Olympic History. I was watching live and it was clear that shot ended the match for all practical purposes.

The missus and I were watchin' live also.    Well, she was readin' and actin' like she was watchin'.    I remember sayin' to her, "I don't know sh** about curling but these guys are good."

I don't remember them but that was just as much as a miracle as 1980. Good feature. Good to see Doc. Wish he was calling the games.

Doc spent a lot of his early media years in W. PA.

No way! I hope he did not have any phone calls with Sean Miller.

The 1960 Games (summer and winter) were my first memorable Olympics.     Probably because there was more TV coverage.    The summer games were pretty cool as well.

The other reason it was a big deal is that in Vancouver or Sochi, he probably would have missed that shot just because he seemed to be snakebitten. This year his luck finally turned.

I was thinking today that Shuster is sort of like Don Larsen. Shuster took a lot of crap after Sochi, but he'll be remembered (rightly so) for this year. Larsen went 3–21 for the 1954 Orioles, but nobody remembers that because of a certain game against Brooklyn in the 1956 World Series.

Seems to be a lot of goals with less than a second remaining lately.     Wonder if it's a trend.
