This doesn’t say they plan to increase prices; they plan to increase revenue from ticket sales which could mean simply sell more tickets. At Marlins Park, that is a pretty low bar, even with so many of the stars gone. They’ll need to have a really good marketing department and a generous promo budget.

Half of their attendance is unpaid and they still can’t get people to show up. Now they’re fielding a shell of a team and expecting a massive bump in revenue

To be fair, the business proposal is going to always present the best possible scenario, since that's how you attract investors.
Looks like they're targeting about a $7 million increase in ticket revenue in the coming season, which works out to around $84k per home game (or $42 per ticket x 2000 tickets). Like I said, they are going to have to have really good marketing. Expect a lot of promos and giveaways, group deals and partnerships.  Their current sales levels are so low that they've got nowhere to go but up.  Market to the super casual fan who didn't know who was on the roster to begin with and cram as much entertainment value as you can into that ticket. They have their work cut out for them.  It'll be interesting to see what they come up with.

If they get their payroll to $90M, the $50M MLBAM share will get them into the black.

Pirates throwing in the terrible towel already, huh?  Maybe they will trade us back Felipe Rivero since they don't think they're gonna be needing him.

Felipe is a super 2 with his 1st year of arbitration in 2018.  If they expect their rebuild to be > 3 years, this season might be an ideal time to trade him for a mint. Not necessarily to us, but perhaps down the stretch to a contender looking for a late innings lefty.

Sources: Agent Jason Wood has been fired by Career Sports Entertainment and suspended by the Major League Baseball Players Association. The union will investigate allegations into the use by him of a hidden camera. He represented Andrew Benintendi among other major leaguers.

(Passan on twitter)

Other reports allege that he is accused of using the hidden camera to record players while they were using his shower.

I hope at his introductory press conference there's a guy who introduces himself with, "G'Day, Bruce!"

That’s what it was like at the DBacks-Dodgers series in Sydney when anyone would cheer “good eye” to a patient batter.  It was really hard not to make a Crocodile Dundee joke.

Is showering at your agent’s house a thing?

Some of them have workout facilities (like private gyms with industrial grade equipment).  Some (like Boras) have full-on compounds. Players go for workouts and stuff. It’s not as squicky as it sounds (unless your agent is filming you).
