Career assists by Stephen Strasburg.

I couldn't find a gif of Stras making an assist, so you'll have to settle with him carving up the playoffs.

Well, uh, actually, the pitcher gets an assist on every strikeout, so I think Stras has a few more than 91.

Never heard that. So looked it up.

You appear to be wrong.

Well, uh, actually, the pitcher gets an assist on every strikeout,

The catcher gets a putout on a strikeout.  Perhaps that's what you were thinking?

Catcher gets a putout unless he drops the third strike  and then if he throws the runner out, the firstbaseman gets the putout and the catcher gets an assist.

In any case, the pitcher doesn't get an assist.  Well let's say the pitch bounces off the catcher's glove, back to the pitcher, who throws the runner out.  Then he gets an assist.

I havent been to a Nats game in 6 years, now that I live an hour away I can finally get to one.  I can't freaking wait.
