Award Finalists
« Topic Start: November 06, 2017, 07:15:58 PM »
NL Cy Young
Kershaw
Scherzer
Strasburg

NL MVP
Goldschmidt
Stanton
Votto

AL Cy Young
Kluber
Sale
Luis Severino

AL MVP
Altuve
Judge
Jose Ramirez

I didn’t list ROY because they are forgone conclusions in both leagues.

Thoughts? Predictions?

It’s a shame that none of Blackmon, Rendon, and Arenado were nominated.

Pretty sure it's close to unanimous that Scherzer wins NL Cy. AL Cy is really tough and Kluber or Sale are basically neck and neck.

NL MVP will likely be Stanton, and AL MVP will be Altuve.

If Scherzer misses on Cy Young, it is largely due to that weird game that Baker left him in to get blown up late in the season.

If Stras didn't get hurt during that one stretch I think he would run away with it.

I'd give it to Scherzer since Kershaw also had an injury.

None of the pitchers played the full season. Should go to the best pitcher, which Kershaw by a mile

Stanton wins NL MVP. Apparently fourth closest vote in history.

Stanton (302)
Votto (300)

Rendon 6th, Scherzer 10th, Harper 12th, Murphy 19th, Zimmerman 22nd.

Votto's gonna be the inner circle hall of famer with the least hype on the way.

Maybe the Nats should trade for him. 25 million per year until 2023. That contract will be a bargain. And he will age better than Stanton

Vottos career is being wasted. Would love to see him on a contender, even us.

I figured it had to have been a close vote for the award to go to someone at a team that finished 20 games out of the division title and 10 games out of the wild card. And I still think he's Giancarlo Stanozolol (sorry - that was too much of a home run outburst to have happened naturally, and ever since the roids explosion some years back, with me in such cases it's guilty till proven innocent).

Rendon was robbed. freaking Dusty, batting him 6th for some stupid reason.
