I'm having problems finding post-season stats on BR for the team. Is there a better source? Werth's OBP ended up .322 for the series. Some of that probably was helped by Game 5, but that probably was 2d highest of any starter, after Taylor. Doesn't excuse Dusty keeping him in on D when we had leads like Game 1, but, as bad as Werth played, he was not the biggest dog in the batting order. He got on.
He had a OBP of .318 for the series. 3 for 18 with 4 walks. MOst of that comes from his last game. Before that, his OBP wasn't even his weight.
He sucked. He was complete and utter crap for four of the five games, missed an easy fly ball, and, frankly, was too freaking slow and noodle armed to play the outfield.
I'm not saying Turner was the MVP or some crap. Or that he was the second coming of Simmons. But he wasn't a complete freak up on both sides of the ball.
