Sorry. Isn't their ballpark hard to hit HRs in?

I guess Bonds did it...but even the weather is not conducive to HRs.
For one, this is Stanton. Second, its not much worse than Miami. Third, he's going to be playing in Arizona and Denver quite a bit, no?

Like usual, you're right.

tl;dr - Because he's awful at pitch framing, we need to replace Wieters with Yasmani Grandal or Tyler Flowers (Flowers is probably a better fit for us given the Dodgers' unlikeliness to want to trade him to a potential playoff rival).

Soto for Flowers?

The real tl;dr in my opinion is: "Now, with or without a superior catching option, the Nationals are a heavy favorite to win the NL East."

Flowers shouldn't cost that much.

Yeah, Soto is probably a high price for a 31 year old FA-to-be.  He'd be a heck of an upgrade over Wieters though.

Or we could just play Severino and keep our prospect

Right. Wieters is not going anywhere, and we might as well save the prospect for the season.

So, we are agreed. You'll trade me Stanton for Matt Wieters?

Are you in my league? Throw in Ichiro (want to tempt Ohtani) and we're good.

Good. Let's get one done with FP and Bob too.

He fell off a cliff after his first month, is a defensive liability, and can’t hit LHP. He’s a bench bat or at best, a DH.

Yep, he's at best a platoon guy.  You obviously don't sit Zimmerman every time we face a RHP, but Adams would be good to use once a week against a righty to get Zim off his feet.  Day game after a night game.

Bob is OK, but he assists FP into blather-land.

- Send FP to off-season training. Let him watch videos of Bob Wolff and Joe Garagiola.

- Make Bob Carpenter listen to a certain pair of Nats radio guys.

Put both on a short leash.

None of this is happening until the MASN situation gets resolved.

All that said, I don't have an issue with Bob and FP.

Bob is awful.

Keep FP. Run a dual broadcast booth with Charlie Slowes, David Jaegler, and FP.

There we go...a little action. Been slow around here for a few days. I'm ok if Bob goes but FP is the Nats on TV.

I don't mind FP.  I loved him as a Expos player when I was growing up, so I'm already kind of partial.  I think he brings some good insights, a little humor at times, and he's a homer...which I like.  I don't see what Bob does so wrong.  I'm fond of the "See You Later."

Bob and FP both seem like generic announcer and color guy, nothing special, but nothing wrong with them

I personally love when Bob and FP tell me that, no, hundreds of analysts in baseball are wrong, and shifts are not effective.

Try Costco.  Pretty reasonable there.
