He was barely healthy for September and had a 6.10 ERA. The biggest numbers might be 229, 197.1, 168.1, his IP the last 3 seasons. HR/9 numbers up 3 years in a row. FIP up 3 years in a row. GB% down for the 3rd straight year. HR to flyball percentage up 3 straight years. K/9 numbers down slightly, BB/9 numbers up slightly. Most of the trends are in the wrong direction.

I'm fine with signing him, but he's a #3 SP at most right now and who knows how long that's going to last.

Judging by Rizzo's history, I'll bet he's thinking seven years - $20MM AAV . . .     :?
