you said the ball was placed well that implies someone placed it

Actually no, it doesn't.  It was "placed" where it was placed, by god.

I used to place them in softball.

Yeah, so did I (still do), but that's a bit of a different exercise.  And even then, I can't imagine why one would try to do so with a popup.  Regardless, it's not what was said.  It's pretty clear to me that the sentence in question means "it just happened to drop where it did."

That's what that sentence means maybe you need to learn how to write better sentences.

The reading you've come about suggests you went in with the preconceived notion that the writer was an idiot.  Otherwise it seems rather clear what was meant.

Michael A. Taylor should have had the bloop.
Having watched it now many times, there is little doubt in my mind that if the other two guys weren't there, he would have caught it. Classic case of miscommunication.

God hates the Nats.

He's fairly evenhanded.  He places some well for the Nats too.

I think he was afraid of running into Werth. Which if he had been charging full on was a distinct possibility.

I didn't say he placed it there. It just happened to land in the spot where no one could get to it. Holy crap, how much baseball do some of you watch? There are balls hit in no man's land all the freaking time. Some of you are just freaking whining cry babies. And you have the audacity to talk about Rizzo being a nag for what he did.

There was some dumb ass complaining the other day that the ball that got past Zimmerman and into the stands was fan interference. :smh:

I thought that ball hit the Cubs runner (Contreras) cleat before going into the stands.  What is the rule on that?  The cleat is considered the same as the rest of his body, right?  He wouldn't get 2nd if it hit his head and somehow went into the stands.

Unless the batter deliberately lets a thrown ball hit him, he's part of the playing field and it is played as if it never hit him.

Didn't think about it 'til CTFEF brought it up.    Appreciate the clarification.

Meh, it doesn't bother me that much. It was a big moment in the heat of battle. Baseball needs more emotion.

Carl Edwards dancing like a tool after getting Rendon out was way worse IMO.

See that I understand. Rizzo's respect me crap was worse because he lucked into that hit. it was not some screaming line drive. Taylor catches that if not worried about Turner or Werth colliding with him. Spidernat is wrong most above average CF get to that especially Andruw Jones.
