Remedies for Suffering Due to Ballteam
« Topic Start: October 10, 2017, 11:57:21 AM »
1. Tell yourself it's all a dream

2. Take in a good movie

3. Follow another team

4. Take up a new hobby

5. Watch the Redskins (may have its own set of setbacks)

6. Drink plenty of  (alcoholic) liquids

7. Take a pill for athletic disasters

8. Call a psychiatrist

9. Take a vacation

10. Watch today - if results are better - forget all of the above!

[...]3. Follow another team[...]

If the Nats really are done tonight, the Caps and Wizards await, plus the RFK finale ultimo of DC United.

5. Watch the Redskins (may have its own set of setbacks)

That too.

Already doing that.

9. Take a vacation

Got my annual London three-weeker lined up for six weeks hence.

Indeed (although as usual I'll be listening, not watching).

I upset some folks by saying I was not going to watch today and I won't.  Not because  I hate the team or that I'm  boycotting.
I am just tired of the constant  under achievement.
Roark will get tagged for at least 4 and with an offense producing 2 hits per game is there any doubt about the outcome?
I now have the same lack of will as the players

Does no watching = no posting?

As much afraid as I am about watching, I couldn't ignore it or not know what was going on.  I've loved every minute of this year and can't help hoping for a much better result today.  What's so upsetting is that Strasburg gave us his best and so did Scherzer and we have nothing to show for it.

I don't really get too worked up over sports. I'm too old now at 39. In my youth sure, if I were in my twenties I'd be depressed right now. But I'm married with three kids. I have a good job and a roof over my head, I can't complain. There is no use getting so emotional about a bunch of millionaires playing a kids game for a living. Ultimately what they do doesn't matter in the grand scheme of the world.

With that said, beat the freaking Cubs.

Earlier. Starts as soon as you relinquish day-to-day responsibilities for the kids. :D
