I don't think they are gutless like some others do but the hitters seem unable to focus under pressure. And the manager seems unable to notice that and make lineup changes. And the handling of the pen was awful yeaterday. And I'm a guy who thinks managers impact on games is overrated.

Over 162 games managers don't really matter. Over 20 or so in the playoffs, they definitely do. Justin Verlander and Chris Sale pitched out of the bullpen yesterday and both were the right move. We have the only manager in the playoffs that isn't willing or capable to play these games like they matter more than the 2nd half of a double header in April.

I really wish I could share in your positivity.  However I'm just waiting for the pitiful end that we all know is coming. Hell, most of us knew it was coming before the playoffs even started but you try to ignore that feeling.

NatNasty should do the Game 4 GDT, based on the Most Wins Theory. mitlen got our only win with that method. If we win Game 4, then RobDibblesGhost should do Game 5.

Think it's more trying to do too much and trying to swing too big. Pitchers nibbling at outside corners and still trying to pull the ball.

I wonder if Maddon will be cautious with Arrieta given the weather conditions and the series lead?  Arrieta has a bum hammy.  Maybe let him go until the first in-game rain delay then pull him.  Or just use your bullpen, max effort, until the game is called, with an off-day tomorrow to rest.
