One of the worst parts is say goodbye to competent bench bats like Kendrick and Lind in future years. Why would they want to go to a team knowing they won't get a fair shake to appear in the playoffs even when the rest of the team is swinging like they're blindfolded? They wouldn't and who could blame them.

I like Dusty and don't particularly want him fired but   ....   You have a pretty solid bench.    Your starters are suckin' wind.     Use the capable guys on the bench today instead of Sundays in August against the Phillies.

Remember when we were all debating about whether Goodwin or DeAza should get a spot and whether Robles was ready, and whether it should be Lobaton or Severino?  Geez, we might as well just gone with an 18 man roster.   There's about as much creativity as Matt Williams displayed.

Dusty seems to be loyal to a fault. I'm sure his players love it but it really seems to be hurting the team right now.  I am a fan of Dusty but this is very upsetting.

He's overly loyal and tactically incompetent.

OFFICIAL: Turner SS, Werth LF, Harper RF, Zimmerman 1B, Murphy 2B, Rendon 3B, Wieters C, Taylor CF, Roark P
this was the line up that worked before Werth and Turner were hurt, so I guess that is the straw Dusty is going with.  Maximize the players comfort and hope they hit like they still have the gas in the tank.

Last I heard, that was what Amelia Earhart's plan was.  Act like there's still gas in the tank.

Roark to pitch Wednesday.  One report is that Stras is "under the weather."
