3 way swap of Mets to Syracuse, Nats to Nashville, and As to Vegas makes so much sense.  Where is our 3 way expert, Cope?
Too funny. I wonder how many people got that?

Phil Woods suggested that the As will take Vegas, opening up Nashville for the Nats.

I never made it up to Syracuse but I’d be all about an AAA team in Nashville. Easy flight from DC, fun town, plenty of good food and drink.

I thought my daughter and her family might end up back there since that's where they went to medical school. Bit doesn't look like it.  I also thought I might head down there for the Eagles-Titans game end of September but doesn't look like it will fit into our calendar.  Good town.

In Zuck's article this week, he reported that teams cannot negotiate with affiliates until after the minor league season ends, which clarifies why we haven't heard any news about the AAA affiliate situation.

he also notes that Nashville seems the likeliest landing spot for our AAA affiliate.

PCL. That's going to make it harder to manage. I wonder if they'll park some of their first-up replacements in AA.

All the more reason to check out some games in Harrisburg.

Sounds like Wichita is finally close to announcing their AAA team.  Just a guess, but I think it's going to be the New Orleans team moving there.  Doesn't help this year, but maybe that lures Minnesota out of Rochester in a few years?

New Orleans was the Nats AAA franchise our first year, which was also when Katrina hit.  My understanding is that this franchise never really could compete with LSU and other colleges down there.

LSU is 75 miles away from Norlins.

Nashville has a ton of direct flights into DC every day. Rochester has a handful into Baltimore. That doesn't factor in the PCL vs. IL convo, though.
