Ya can't win the WS unless you're in the tournament.    I'll take even 3 post season games.

Even Matt Williams got this team to the playoffs. Rizzo has loaded them up with good talent and they're in a comically bad division. A hobby horse could manage them to the playoffs.

Zimmerman and Taylor are batting .250 in the playoffs.  Everyone else is in the .100s or less.  Obviously the answer is to cut everyone and replace them with players from Potomac.

A rumor going around that in 2018, Washington, DC, will get a major league baseball team, with actual, real major league players and a genuine major league team manager....no word on where their current minor league team will go...

So you're saying managers don't matter?

Difo, Kendrick, Lind, Lobaton, and even Robles and Goodwin are sitting right there in the dugout. They literally cannot perform worse than the jagoffs that the idiot manager refuses to replace no matter what.

No doubt, Dusty's 'disdain' for Rizzo's bloop single really matters...what, are the umps going to take that hit back? Or might Dusty consider putting someone in the outfield who can actually catch? Werth could not outrun a ground sloth....Trea Turner just got in the way, trying to be a hero to make up for his lousy ABs...and I'm sure that Rizzo now feels oh-so-guilty that he didn't really connect on the pitch....hey Dusty, how about you rid the line up of the duffers and chokers and put in some bench players who actually want to win?

Not sure if anyone said this last night. But THREE fielders converging on a damn ball and NOBODY  gets it? It cost us the game and possibly the series.

Actually, Rizzo went on a long tirade about how disrespected he felt that they pitched to him with a base open, like it was a personal affront to him. Sort of a "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" moment.

This is the longest GDT of the season, beating yesterday's by at least 170 posts.

I was responding to wvtom's post.    I wasn't evaluating the franchise and/or its talent including the manager in this or any other year.
