Haven’t we been complaining about this sackless lineup in the playoffs since 2012?

uh no, most of the year we were speculating if they'd score more than 900 runs.

Still confusing success against the NL EAST with playoff competition.

You fail at reading comprehension. I said PLAYOFFS slapdick not regular season. Setting runs records in the regular season doesn’t matter when you can’t plate a run against decent pitching or field routine grounders. The Nats are the Caps when it comes to regular season success.

We really need
Someone please define gutless, because I really don't understand how it applies.  Last night's offensive effort was an atrocity.  The team was not prepared to play.  But what does that have to do with guts?

I second Ray's motion. I too need a definition for what people mean by gutless.

I think it's very likely that the core of this team simply chokes under the bright lights of the postseason. Werth had some playoff success when he was in his 20's but very little since. Rendon has been MIA so far in his postseason career. Zimmerman has been up and down. Harper had a decent series against the giants. Wieters has been dreadful in the playoffs.

Melting away like hog fat on a hot griddle. When the going gets tough they won't  be going.
Choking in other words because they have no fortitude within.

Pretty sure it was the same poster that thinks the FORESKINZ are one lucky break away from another SB win.

I'll try to find it. This PSU game isn't worth paying attention to.

Well except 2014.  He was pretty good that series.

After Murphy the lineup is easily pitched to.

The cubs fans seemed to be concentrated in the 100 level on the third base side. There were quite a few there and they were loud (and obnoxious) But the rest of the stadium was almost all red.

Cubs fans are everywhere because it's the easy choice.

I saw most of 'em on the 3rd base side, 100 level as well.    Not too many in the low 130s.

Yes. That's why they scored so many runs in the season. And Murphy didn't look any better than the others yesterday. He took and missed some meatballs right down the middle yesterday.

He's a sleazy jerk. So just about the same as every other division one coach.

70+ games against NL east staffs padded stats.

He's the only coach in Vanderbilt history to have players kicked out of school. Oversaw a rape brigade only slightly less brutal than Baylor just got out of town before NCAA investigators got serious. He's the perfect successor to JoePed at State Penn.

This. He also tried to play bad ass with his players but then cried like a nag and changed his story once we was under oath.
