Mitlen wants me to point out that since Tom is at the game, you should go ahead and post the curly W :stir:

Do it, Omaha!

Not good from Kintzler and Werth has to be smarter with his throw.

Really bad from Kintzler and somehow Werth isn't one of the guys taken out for a defensive/late game sub.

Only your dumb ass would find someway to rip Baker for this. It's not like another LF'er would've prevented the crap Kintzler took on the mound.

Another LF wouldn't have thrown home when there was no chance letting the runners go to 2nd and 3rd. Another LF wouldn't have kicked the ball in the gap all the way to the wall where the CF had to retrieve it. The loss is on Kintzler, but if the manager is sitting people late, why not the biggest defensive and offensive liability of the roster right now?

We'll get to have so much fun in the playoffs with a negative WAR (BR and Fangraphs) player in LF every day.

The loss is on Kintzler,

This is where you should've quit.

Kintzler doesn't seem to have the room for error that Doolittle has because he is not a high K pitcher.  The leadoff hit was a weak GB that the runner beat out on replay. He more or less needed  to get 4 guys in a row to make weak contact, and only got 3. As for the triple, it didn't help that Werth was still in the outfield in the 9th, but I don't think any LF who is going to be on the roster for the playoffs (i.e., not Stevenson or Bautista) is coming down with that other than Robles, who was in RF for Bryce at the time.  We are going to have to get used shaky corner OF defense for the rest of the year, and Kintzer's contact-dependent relief once in a while causing nausea.

I think TT made the same comment (maybe it was RDG).    It's all kind of blurry.    :)     In any case, what a disappointing end.    I was all ready to come home give the arrow to Bob.    Didn't work out.

From where we were in 202, it looked like Werth was a "step slow".    It sure looked to some of us that a faster/quicker fielder could have gotten to the fly.   Throw in the earlier "accrobatic" catch and he's gettin' shaky in his old age.
