May be a good place to start the new season thread:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dc-sports-bog/wp/2017/09/27/kara-lawson-will-replace-phil-chenier-as-wizards-primary-color-analyst/?utm_term=.1f264dd9d5f0

I thought it would be Winters-Scott.
Lawson is a local kid.  If they win they could have FP doing the games and it wouldn't bother me.

Oh yeah, when I learned more about her local roots, I was all in.    I've seen her on other broadcasts and she's a pro.

Wizards open Wednesday. Believe this is the first time in a while they have opened in DC. Of course there would have been a conflict with NLCS game 4 but we can all thank the Nats for freeing the night up.

Watched a little of the Knicks/Wiz game last night.     Just don't see anything above 3rd in the East.     However, I think the Celtics and the Cavs can be beat in a series.

Gordon Hayward out for at least the year with a broken ankle. I saw a still photo and it was pretty gruesome.

Entertaining first half.

I am back in the area for a few days--came back for the NLCS home games of course.  Oh, wait....

3-0 out of the gate for the first time since 2005-06...not bad. I know it's going to end soon with Golden State looming on Friday, but let's enjoy it while it lasts.

Yes. Better than 2-8 start last season. The way they end games still bothers me. Wall dribbles for like 18 seconds and then they try and run something. Not sure if that's on him or the coaches.

What a pitiful loss to the LA BALLers. And Golden State up next. Ugh.

Watching on NBA TV; a good start for the Wiz.
I believe its the GS announcers; its funny that they said they brought in Brooks as coach because the Wizards did not play defense for Randy Wittman.  Just the opposite as the offense got better last year but the D slipped.

I admit it.  I enjoyed watching Beal mug Draymond Green.  Great stuff.

They only won by 27--disappointed.   :mg:

2-2 road trip not terrible but they should have at least been 3-1.
