Yes. I’m sure that’s it. Can’t understand a game I’ve been following for years. Much more likely than the possibility that I’m dealing with  a weapons-grade troll who thinks that sounding certain about something will cover up ignorance or just plain stupidity.

I don't think so. If we play the Dodgers and when we play the Cubs ecpect the stadium filed with "out of town fans" many of whom were born here.

I'd say that vs. Houston, we probably will probably have a solid home crowd.  Against Boston, NYY, LAD, and CHC, I'd say all bets are off.  I'd expect more of the stadium to be pro- than for regular season games.  I did not get the sense that it was a pro-LAD crowd in last year's NLDS.

I went Saturday (3-2 loss) and there did seem to be a lot of LAD fans.  I think having the lead the whole way also helped keep them around and loud.

This town is indeed overflowing with Dodger fans, but they do not have the same access to playoff tickets as they do for regular season games.   They will buy up all the available tickets; there are many available tickets for a regular season game, not very many for a playoff game.   I think the same will hold for Cubs fans.

There's a big difference between regular season and playoffs.  Every playoff game I've been to (StL, SF and LA) have been overwhelming pro-Nats.

Same for me for StL and LA.  For some reason though, there seemed to be more Giant fans than you'd expect, at the game I went to (game 2, 2014).

More or less, the Nats locked into 4th unless we sweep the last 3 and Houston drops them all.  The Nats have the tie-breaker v. HOU.  Houston and Cleveland are close for the top AL seed and Cleveland still has a chance for top seed. I have not checked HOU/LAD tiebreakers, and best Houston can finish is tied with LAD.

This. I've been to most of the playoff home games since 2012 and it's nothing like the regular season.

I have WS game 7 tickets if the Nats get that far with home field. If that's the only way the game gets played here, I'm not complaining.
