Another factor - the AL has won 20 more games than the NL this season.  And this pattern happens every year, where the AL does better in interleague play than the NL.  Does that mean the AL will have a better chance of winning the World Series (regardless of home field) ?

In the World Series, home field advantage has never been based on record. It’s either been alternating or decided by the All-Star game. And those stats I quoted were only from the World Series. Being able to play under your league’s rules is a big advantage.
