2018 Schedule
« Topic Start: September 12, 2017, 12:31:09 PM »
Next year's schedule is out. Nats open in Cincy on March 29, home opener is April 5 against the Mets. Yankees and Red Sox both visit Nats Park  :$$$:

Is this for real?  They're playing in Toronto?  I'm going!

**edit:  Yeah it's real I just checked.

Thanks for posting that Houston. I see they play here for opening weekend in Cincy. Those opening day tickets are hard to come by. And they finally host the Yankees again.

I've always wanted to do that Chicago/St. Louis trip.

Perhaps if there's something on the line, I'll head out to Denver.

I like that they've moved the schedule up a bit, too.

Six games against the Blows next year. I am unclear why they don't wait to release this until after postseason. Why make the World Champ potentially start on Road? (I'm not implying anything about the Nats. We just don't know who it's going to be).

Get 4th of July and Labor Day at home, though.

Also, both west coast trips are before Memorial Day. Heck, they're both within the first six weeks of the season. Only thing west of the central time zone is that last series of the year in Denver.

I went to the 4th of July game this year.  HOT AS H!  Also it is against the Red Sox.  I'll stay away....  Labor Day is my wife's birthday usually so no go there either :(

I'm not really complaining mind you, just kind of like to have one of the two bookends to the season.

Maybe we'll finally make it to D.C. also, who knows?

Weekend series against the Snakes in May, before Phoenix is a post-Apocalyptic hellscape; weekend series in Toronto in June;  and a weekend in Denver in September.  The road trip scheduling gods are much kinder in 2018 than they were for this season!

Open on the road and close on the road...

We open and close at home this year.  When they released the 2017 schedule I knew there was going to be payback lol

I enjoy Friday night outings.    That's a pretty thin schedule.    I suppose they figure it doesn't matter who's in town on Fridays.    The hipsters all stand under the score board and spend money.

I'm totally down with that Toronto series

But if the Leafs ever win the Stanley Cup again, that whole city is going up in smoke.

7/4 vs.  the Red Sox?  This obviously revenge for all the Patriots' Day 11 AM starts they've inflicted on other teams over the years.

Do we need a passport or some such thing?

April 17, 2018, is the 50th Anniversary of the first game in Oakland, and the A's are celebrating by hosting a free game. No word yet on how to get tickets but I can imagine free baseball in Oakland will be a big ass party scene. Opponent is the White Sox.

Red Sox July 2-4 will be a hot ticket.
