Good. Derek Jeter is coming from the clean shaven New York Yankees culture and I don't think he "gets" Miami. He definitely made some comment about getting rid of the sculpture upon first buying the team.

I would definitely not want it in my house, but it would be a travesty if it was taken out of Miami.

Next year's schedule is out. Nats open in Cincy on March 29, home opener is April 5 against the Mets. Yankees and Red Sox both visit Nats Park  :$$$:

Grapefruit League 2018 schedule released:

It will be interesting to see if there will be more Nats fans this time around then when the Sox last played here. What year was that, anyway? 2009?

No doubt they will take over the stadium the way Cubs fans did during the playoffs....this is DC after all

It'll be a good week for the hotels and bars, half of New England will be coming down. Maybe we should put together a tourist guide.

Wrong. Cubs fans did not "take over" the park during playoffs.

He keeps insisting this is true, although anyone who was actually at the game knows that it wasn’t.

I was at game one near first base in the lower level.    There may have been a few around me but certainly not "taking over".     Most I saw en masse/concentrated pods from my seat where along the 3rd base line.

I'm more worried about the Baltimore fans invading as they do every year.  I swear I hate that so much.......one of my top 3 memories last year was Weiters walk off single as we rallied in the bottom of the 9th against them.

Those fans are Nats fans for the other 160 games of the season. They live locally and won’t bother driving to Baltimore since the O’s suck so bad. There will be more O’s fans in Nats Park than in OPACY for those matchups, but as soon as the series are over, they go back to being Nats fans.

The worst thing at Nationals Park are the fans who wear a combination of Os and Nats gear. Pick a side.

And A-Rod is joining the ESPN Sunday night broadcast team :hang:

I really like him on the work he's done so far with pre and post game shows...play-by-play will be interesting...

I was at all gamews and the sea of blue and the loud chants were  constant....it was the f'in playoffs.....even when we played the Cardinals in the playoffs, the Cardinal fans were not noticeable but this past series......ponderous

Section 224 at Game 1 of the 2017 NLDS was, by the 5th inning or so, electing an alderman to send to the Chicago city council.
